Hey friends,
I went to my neighbor and friend Rory Feek's Christmas concert last weekend in his barn. He has been doing barn concerts for years, and the space has transformed from a simple farm barn and garage into a beautiful venue. He invited me up on stage to sing a couple of songs from my Carols & Hymns project. I sang In the Bleak Midwinter and I Surrender All.
I walked off the stage and he invited me back up to sing his favorite song of mine, Redbird. Another friend recorded it on his phone, so I thought I would share it with you.
It was great to be with him and the sweet people there. And it was good practice for my barn concerts here at our farm this weekend. Our space isn’t as fancy, but the feeling of family is just as strong.
I’m looking forward to seeing all the folks traveling in from all over the country to join my family and me here on the farm. I hope to get some video to share with you, too.
